'Blinking Quds'

“In the private theater of my eyes, the thunder of the war transforms into the distant, melodic chime of bells and the adhan rising over Al-Quds. I see the Dome of the Rock shimmering like a fallen sun against a peaceful blue horizon, its ancient courtyards filled with the fragrance of jasmine and warm stone. To me, the holy city is a silent anchor—a golden sanctuary of "before" and "someday" that I cling to while facing the abandonment through the streets of Gaza. For me, everytime I blink, I know I am here and I will see the victory of Al Quds and my people, until then I will not close my eyes nor will I be silent.” - Farah, Gaza, age 16.
