Tragically, as of September 2025, approximately 2% of Gaza’s entire child population has been killed since October 7, 2023. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, children account for at least 30% of total casualties, with earlier estimates placing this figure even higher—32% by the UN in May 2024 and 44% by the Gaza Ministry of Health in March 2024.
